Description: The Sr. Education Research Consultant will lead the CER’s scholarship of teaching and program assessment initiatives. This will include consulting with CER staff, faculty, and senior leaders (e.g., Vice Provosts, Vice Deans) on grant proposals. The research consultant will be responsible for designing research methods and assessment plans, collecting and analyzing data, and publishing on the results. This may include coordinating with staff or supervising graduate students assisting on the project. The research consultant will also participate as a facilitator in the CER’s training programs by leading workshops on evaluation best practices and teaching-as-research methods. The CER manages the University’s Teaching Academy – a professional development program for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who aspire to academic positions with instructional responsibilities. The research consultant will support this initiative by consulting with and mentoring graduate students and post-doctoral fellows completing teaching-as-research projects.
